Learn all about facial serums! How do you utilize it and what are its benefits ?

Because it is such an important stage in the skincare process, the serum should be a product that you use on a regular basis. It is recommended that if you are over 25 years old and want to enhance the condition of your skin but have not seen the results that you expected, you should start using serum right away.

What are serums?

The serum is the type of skincare product that is nearly always included in the most extensive assortments. There are a variety of excellent serum formulations available that can provide you with significant skin improvement. In contrast to synthetic nutrients, pure nutrients such as microelements, amino acids, and vitamins are absorbed by the skin quickly and appear to improve the skin’s appearance. We may select a serum based on our individual requirements, such as anti-aging, anti-acne, anti-wrinkle, whitening, brightening, or moisturizing, among others.

What do serums do?

1.Moisturizing
Hyaluronic acid is the most often encountered moisturizing component in serums. It has the potential to improve moisture absorption while also preventing transepidermal water loss (TEWL). If you have a need for moisturizing, you might want to consider purchasing a serum with this composition. Keep in mind that the macromolecule hyaluronic acid has a difficult time penetrating into our dermis layer, therefore you should choose for a serum that contains micromolecule hyaluronic acid.

2.Whitening and freckle removal
Vitamin C is the most commonly used component in whitening products. It has the potential to reduce the synthesis of pigment in the dermal layer while increasing the metabolism of pigment. Furthermore, certain compositions, such as arbutin, niacinamide, tranexamic acid, and salicylic acid, have been shown to prevent the production of melanin and so eliminate freckles from the skin. Some persons with sensitive skin types are susceptible to these substances, so always try a new product on the area around the back of your ears before using it on the rest of your body.

3.Barrier restoration
There are several micromolecule compositions in serum that have the ability to penetrate deeply into our dermis layer and repair our skin damage. In other words, if you have a need for barrier restoration, a serum solution would be a fantastic choice. There are several active components for healing the skin, including oligopeptides, ceramide, and squalane, among others.

4.Anti-aging
There are two elements to anti-aging: the first is the extension of the skin’s natural aging process, and the second is the prevention of skin aging. This can only be accomplished through the rejuvenation of collagen and elastin in our skin. A serum containing vitamin E and proteoglycan might be used to accomplish this goal. The second type of treatment is anti-photoaging. Because of the irreversible nature of photo aging, the sunscreen agent is the most important anti-photoaging component available. In addition to sunscreen cream, we have the option of selecting a serum that contains a sunscreen ingredient. The serum to which a UV absorption agent has been added has the potential to create a protective barrier against ultraviolet radiation.

How to choose serum for different skin types?

Dry skin
When the seasons change, people with this skin type are frequently disturbed by the exfoliating stratum corneum that occurs throughout the transition. As a result, moisturizing is the top concern for these individuals. In order to achieve the best results, we recommend selecting a serum that contains a high concentration of moisturizing content, as well as good water retention capabilities and high viscosity. This type of serum has a large concentration of oil ingredients, which can provide significant nourishment to the skin. It appears to have the potential to treat dry skin while also slowing the aging process.

Oily skin
Oily skin is shining and may have big, dilated pores, which are not conducive to our desire to seem attractive. We recommend that persons with this skin type choose for a serum with a thin and non-sticky texture, as well as active ingredients that regulate oil production and minimize pores. This type of serum may help us maintain the proper balance of oil and water in our skin while also giving us a fresh appearance.

Sensitive skin
The features of sensitive skin are that it is highly delicate and lacks suppleness, among other things. People with this skin type are frequently plagued by pimple issues, especially during the transitional seasons. This skin type has a shallow dispersion of blood capillaries, which causes the blood capillaries to rupture quickly and cause redness to appear on our faces. If you have this skin type, we recommend that you pick the serum with a thin texture, a mild composition, and no smell.

Combination skin
Those with this skin type typically have dry cheeks and greasy skin around the T zone. For these individuals, we recommend that they use different serums on different areas of their face skin.
